Proverbs 31 Woman Kind Of Business Striving To Stay Fruity
Being a Godly woman and being a Godly businesswoman is easy. Said no woman ever.
It’s a shame I even have to post this, but I hope it serves as both a reminder and encouragement for anyone going through it. Keyword: through. Keep moving forward dont stop.
Someone recently said to me, “Well, some of us have a full-time job,” like owning Expressive DeZien is just a hobby. That stung. I’ve built this business from the ground up. I have degrees. I’m registered, licensed, with a Tax ID and everything in between. Because this is what I do for a living. This business runs with one full-time employee (me), and my husband supports me part time while still working his full-time job of over 15 years. Nothing about this is casual. This is real work, built with sweat, time, and sacrifice.
Donating my time for a cause I believe in, or helping family and friends, doesn’t mean I work for free. Just because I choose to give in one area doesn’t mean that same energy or time is owed somewhere else. I have bills, responsibilities, and goals just like anyone else. My loyalty runs deep, and yes, I often overextend myself to show up for the people and projects I care about. I’ll gladly rearrange tasks and shift priorities when I’m led to, but don’t come at me with entitlement. That’s the line. That’s when the power, the effort, and the loyalty get unplugged. You are welcome to find other resources. I was created to serve, and I do it with heart and excellence. But I’m not your doormat, your punching bag, or the one you talk down to. If you wouldn’t say it to your pastor, your boss, your spouse, your customer, or your child, don’t say it to me.
I have worked hard, sacrificed a lot, and educated myself into the position I’m in. Just because you think I’m an airhead or have the intelligence of a rock doesn’t make it true.
